As part of a shake-up on campus this summer (to make room for subjects coming onto Penglais Campus from Llanbadarn) the History Department have moved from Hugh Owen to the International Politics building. Anyone who has walked past the sign at the front of the building will have noticed the yellow band where the name goes is currently blank. Discussions continue about a new name for the building now that it’s shared between InterPol and History, but among students at least, it’ll probably still be known on campus as ‘the InterPol building’ for a while to come.
The InterPol building is much more open and light than Hugh Owen, and the room layouts easy enough to get used to. There are dedicated study spaces on the lower floor, along with reading nooks/study spots on every floor.

We’re looking forward to September, welcoming new (and returning) students into the department’s new home – and don’t worry about not knowing where things are, we’re still learning too!
